i've recently rented Les Triplettes de Belleville and i can't stop watching it. the animation and characters are simply not letting me go. no wonder it was nominated for an Oscar. even though there is not one character in the movie that i disliked (i even adore those oddly shaped mafia goons) i have to say that Champion is the one who is the most interesting to me. of course, the Triplets, Madame Souza and Bruno are a very close second. the music is quite catchy as well. there is hardly any dialogue and the story is told so well through visuals so i didn't have to rely on dubbing or subtitles to understand it. i recommend this movie highly.

hopefully i'll be getting some drawings out of my love for the film.
